


Meret Pellaton
Meret Pellaton is a freelance violinist. She studied in Basel with Adelina Oprean where she completed her Bachelor of Arts with honours in 2017. During this time she also studied baroque violin as a minor subject at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis with David Plantier and Amandine Beyer. She then completed a Master of Music with an artistic profile under Stefan Arzberger in Mannheim.
Chamber music has always been her great passion. She played for several years in a string quartet and a piano trio. She received chamber music lessons from Jiri Nemeček, Anton Kernjak, Rainer Schmidt and Sol Gabetta. In spring 2023 she founded a duo with pianist Miguel Pisonero and since December 2024 she has been working intensively with harpsichordist and pianist Diego Ares.
Meret Pellaton is member of the ensembles “arte frizzante” and “resonart camerata”. In the season 2018/19 she was an academy member of the Basel Chamber Orchestra.
